St. Louis to offer cultural experience
St. Louis will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo by holding a community fair in May on Cherokee Street.
The Cinco de Mayo Street Festival is an event where people can experience Mexican culture while participating in several fun activities. Dynamo Pro Wrestlers will be hosting a live lucha libre wrestling show on the street, and attendees can try riding a mechanical bull. There will also be a parade held during the fair and a designated place for children to play. Guests can even listen to live musical performances during the Cinco de Mayo festival.
More than 100 vendors will be attending the fair to sell handmade artisan goods and original works of art. People can also purchase many kinds of street food throughout the fest, such as tacos and street corn. Those who can legally drink alcohol may buy margaritas served in pineapples. Some food vendors will offer sweet treats such as conchas and churros. Attendees can also receive temporary tattoos and get their faces painted at a few booths during the fest.
The street fair will be on Saturday, May 6th from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. This event is a free experience organized by the Cherokee Street Foundation. All activities offered at the festival will take place between Nebraska and Jefferson. Those who promote cultural fairs like this may create outdoor ads with the assistance of print shops.
