St. Louis to host Cajun cooking competition
Fans of Cajun cuisine can attend a cook-off in St. Louis at Soulard Market Park’s Bud Light Party Centre.
The Cajun Cook-Off is an event where talented amateur chefs can showcase their recipes and compete for prizes. Those who enter the competition may submit an appetizer, soup, entrée, or dessert to be reviewed by a panel of three celebrity judges. Each dish will be awarded points for taste, originality, presentation, and degree of difficulty to make. In the case of a tie, up to five points will be awarded to chefs with the best-decorated cooking area.
Those who attend the event as spectators will be treated to an authentic Cajun lunch and can watch cooking demonstrations from experienced chefs. Samples will also be offered to viewers during the lessons. Live music entertainment will be held at the park, and alcoholic drinks like hurricanes will be available for purchase. The food prepared by the amateur chefs in the contest will not be allowed to be consumed by eventgoers.
The Cajun Cook-Off will take place on Saturday, February 4 from noon to 4:00 pm. Tickets to see the cooking contest will be $65 per person. Those interested in an elevated experience at the event can pay $105 for an All-Inclusive Kitchen Pass, which includes breakfast, mimosas, and early entry to the event. Cooking competitions like this may be promoted to consumers with poster printing.
