St. Louis to hold informative history convention
The National Council for History Education (NCHE) will organize an event in March at the Hyatt Regency in St. Louis.
The NCHE Conference is an annual event where people can learn about history from knowledgeable speakers and take part in informative activities. The keynote sessions for the convention will be led by Cheryl Brown Henderson and Catherine Ceniza Choy. There will be several breakout sessions people can attend on topics like how to use AI to teach historical inquiry, the power of stories, and sparking wonder in children. People can also learn about building their historical empathy skills.
The convention offers many excursions that take participants to significant historical destinations around the city. This year, the enrichment excursions will include the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, Lewis & Clark State Historic Site, and the Missouri History Museum. The prices of the tours vary per activity. Guests may also attend poster sessions during the conference on subjects such as the Library of Congress, The Ecology Center, and The Missouri Compromise.
The history conference will be held from Thursday, March 20th to Saturday, March 22nd. Members of the NCHE can purchase tickets for $300, and non-members can get their tickets for $370. Students may attend the conference for $100. Organizations that host similar educational conventions may utilize banner printing to share information about their events.
