St. Louis botanical garden to hold Japanese fest

The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis will hold a Japanese-themed program at the end of August.

The Japanese Festival is a cultural experience where visitors to the Missouri Botanical Garden can watch live performances and demonstrations. The garden collaborates with the Japanese Activities Committee each year to create the event. Attendees can pay to take a tour of the Teahouse Island in the center of the venue’s Japanese Garden Lake. The rocky and uneven terrain of the island makes it inaccessible to those with wheelchairs and motorized scooters.

There will be several art exhibits that can be viewed during the fest, including the Calligraphy Display, Ikebana and Bonsai Display, and Origami Display. Guests can watch performances like the Kimono Show, Ikebana Demonstration, and Shodo Demonstration. People may visit the Cohen Amphitheater to see live events such as sumo wrestling, ice carving, and taiko performances. The Kemper Kitchen will offer cooking demonstrations.

Attractions that hold experiences similar to this may use banner printing services to advertise their cultural festivals to more people.

The Japanese Festival will be held from August 31st to September 2nd. The event will open to the public at 9:00 am each day. Admission to the cultural event is $18 for adults and $9 for children and members of the Missouri Botanical Garden. The kids of garden members can enter the event for free.
