The Saint Louis Ballet will be presenting its annual Sugar Plum Fairy Holiday Luncheon before two performances of The Nutcracker, helping people in nearby Chesterfield get into the seasonal spirit.
A three-course meal will be served in the midst of festive holiday décor followed by some sweets and treats. Booklet printing is being done to enable each table to have full-color autograph Booklets at each place. All the members of the cast of The Nutcracker, including the Snow Queen, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Clara herself will be meeting guests, signing the booklets and pausing for photos. These photos could be used for this year’s Holiday Cards.
Some lucky little girl at each luncheon will win a Clara-themed American Girl Doll from the raffle. Upper level students from the Saint Louis Ballet School will be holding an interactive ballet class for the little ones. A matinee performance of The Nutcracker will be presented right after the luncheon.
The Sugar Plum Fairy Luncheon will be Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 starting at 12:30 pm at the Touhill Lee Theater in the Touhill Performing Arts Center, One University Blvd, St Louis.
The Nutcracker will follow in the Anheuser Busch Hall right across the lobby in the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Performances will start at 2:30 pm. Tickets to the luncheon and performance are sold separately.
