Chesterfield enjoys neighbor's festivities

Many people here in Chesterfield will head to neighboring Ballwin for its annual Ballwin Days Festival being held over four days in August.

Carnival rides will run from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Thursday, August 13th.

On Friday, August 14th, the event will be in full swing with shuttle service, carnival rides, and a free concert with A country crossover band, Wildfire, An opening ceremony will take place at 6:15 pm followed by another free concert, featuring Superjam, performing from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

On Saturday the 15th, festivities will include carnival rides, a Kids' Korner, The Luke Queen Band and high-energy jazz band, The LustreLights. Both concerts will be free. The evening performance will pause at 9:15 pm for a fireworks display. Saturday festivities will end at 11:30 pm.

On Sunday August 16th, the event will open at 8:00 am with a Ballwin Days 5k and 1-mile run. Carnival rides will run from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and a car show will take place from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. Hubb and the Heavy Hearts playing roadhouse country, smooth jazz and Orleans funk will present a free concert from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Ballwin Days festivities will close at 5:00 pm.

Ballwin Days will take place in Vlasis Park, 300 Park Drive, a short hop from Chesterfield.
