Chesterfield Amphitheater presents free summer concerts

Chesterfield Amphitheater will be presenting Sounds of Summer free concerts beginning in mid-June.

Everyone is welcome to bring chairs and blankets, and the venue will have food trucks selling summer treats and beverages. All performances will begin at 6:30 pm.

The Big Thing: The Music of Chicago will kick off the series. This is a high-energy tribute band playing the band Chicago classics capturing the precision, power and passion of the original group. Emily Wallace will be the opening act at 6:30 pm with the Big Thing taking the stage at 7:30 pm.

The Big Thing will perform on Saturday, June 13th.

On June 27th, an Eric Clapton tribute band, Clapton Chronicles will be playing Clapton's 80's power hits, his 70's Slowhand era and music from some of the bands he played in - Derek and the Dominos (Layla), Cream (Sunshine of Your Love) and Blind Faith (Can't Find My Way Home).

Danny Liston will be the opening act at 6:30 pm with Clapton Chronicles beginning at 7:30 pm.

July's lineup will be Fake News- a Huey Lewis tribute band on the 11th and All Together Now - a Beatles Tribute band
on the 25th.

August bands will be A Toby Keith Tribute band- The American Ride and Backstoppalooza-Mississippi Moon on the 22nd.

Venues that offer free concerts often get big banner printing printed at local Print shops and place large colorful welcoming Banners at the gate.
