Hundreds of Chesterfield community residents are expected to join in the 24th Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Gumbo Flats Pumpkin Run/Walk coming in mid-October.
The courses for the 10k and 5k runs will be out-and-backs beginning and ending at the corner of Edison Avenue and Long Road in Chesterfield Towne Center. A Children's Fun Run of half a mile will be available for kids under 11 years old.
Registration for the 5k will be $30 through September 12th, $35 from then until October 15th and $40 on Raceday. The 10k will be $35 until through September 12th, $40 for September 13th through October 15th and $45 on race day. The Kids Fun Run will be $15, and the virtual option is $30.
Swag will include long-sleeve Tek shirts, race bibs and swag Bags. Those registering before Sept 15th will be guaranteed shirts in the sizes they ordered and those registering before September 30th will receive shirts but not necessarily in the requested sizes.
Races like this often get their paper products such as mile markers and race bibs printed at local Print shops.
Awards for both the 5k and the 10k will be given to the overall winners and first, second and third place finishers in each age division.
The 24th annual Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Gumbo Flats Pumpkin Run/Walk will be Saturday, October 18th at 161 Long Road. The 5k and the 10k will begin at 8:00 am with the Kid Fun Run following at 9:00 am.
