Discerning Chesterfield folks can dive into the very different worlds of bugs and vintage items over the coming weeks.
Butterfly House, Faust Park Drive, will be offering all things from the creepy-crawly world. From spiders, beetles, and butterflies and sampling of wines and local brews at its Wicked Wings and Wine this Friday, October 9, a Bug Ball on October 24, Gourmet Grubs on October 25, and Super Skeletons on November 7.
In early November, Chesterfield Mall will turn over most of its Sears building to Vintage Market Days of St Louis for a Show Me Vintage fall market. Over 100 antique and unique vintage dealers, decorators, interior designers, and those selling original art, handmade treasures, jewelry, clothing, and live plants will be offering their wares and services. Many patrons like to collect dealers’ Business Cards at events like this, in case they want to buy or sell vintage items at a later date.
Local food vendors will be on site selling delectable treats such as pizza, kettle corn, donuts, and beverages. Local businesses will be giving DIY clinics and may be distributing giveaways.
Tickets are $10 for three days and $5 for Saturday/Sunday. Kids age 12 and under get in free.
Show Me Vintage will take place November 6 from noon until 7:00 pm; November 7 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm; and November 8 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The event will be at the Sears building at Chesterfield Mall, 291 Chesterfield Center.
