Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce will once again be hosting a free concert later this month. Featured will be Rockin’ Chair, a band dedicated to ‘70s classic rock.
Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and join the other Chesterfield classic rock aficionados. Rockin’Chair is a band that has reunited eight members of the ‘70s regional groups in Nickels and Mesa. From guitar, bass, and drums to congas, percussion, mandolin, flute, and keyboards, this music group belts out classics from the decade.
Viewers can expect to hear the sounds of such acts as The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, , Firefall, The Eagles, Loggins and Messina, the Allman Brothers, and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
There is no need to bring snacks or beverages, as area restaurants will be offering their specialties, and local food trucks will sell the likes of candy, popcorn, water, and soda. City brochure printers will likely have a field day with these events.
Also during the concert, the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a raffle. Tickets selling for a dollar (or a donation of two canned goods) will offer a chance to win a set of Firestone tires. Proceeds will go to Circle of Concern.
The concert will be held at Faust Park on Tuesday, July 29, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Seating for the event opens at 5:15 pm, or 15 minutes later for concessions.
