Chesterfield children will get a chance to attend the Hare in the Air Easter Egg Hunt again this year.
The hunt will be free and open to the public. The Easter Bunny will arrive via helicopter, hence the name of the event.
This year, more than 15,000 eggs will be hidden. Two-year-olds will have their own hunt, as will the three-year-olds. Those aged four and five have a division, as will children ages six through eight. Please note that parents will not be able to accompany their little ones inside the hunt area. Children will not want to miss the many other activities at the hunt either, such as the petting zoo and freebies such as those distributed by balloon artists.
Fredbird, mascot of the St. Louis Cardinals, will also be on hand. The D.A.R.E. car will also be there along, with McGruff the Crime Dog. Firemen from the Monarchy Fire Protection District will bring an ambulance and a fire truck, which will be located near the venue’s center quadrangle. Costumed characters will be meandering around, and a pet adoption booth will be on the premises. Parents will no doubt want to take pictures for later postcard printing.
The hunt will be held Saturday, March 28, with registration starting at 10:00 am and the Easter Bunny arriving at approximately 11:00 am, at Logan University, 1851 Schoettler Road, Chesterfield.
