Local radio KSHE-95 will be presenting its annual ‘BBQ Jam’ next month, offering an evening of good eats and classic rock.
This year the rock band, ‘Strike Force’ will open for ‘Head East’, a legendary rock and roll band from the Midwest. Head East, with lead vocalist and founder Roger Boyd, considers itself one of the most approachable, friendliest and professional classic rock and roll bands. The group’s vocals will be accompanied by keyboard, bass, two guitars and drums.
Along with a couple of movies this five member band has been featured in TV shows such as ‘The 70’s Show’ and ‘First Night Lights’. Because this band is so willing to meet and greet their fans, pictures taken with them during the evening may make great subjects for poster printing after the event.
Those patrons who purchase lawn seating tickets will want to bring blankets or lawn chairs, however they won’t need any food or drink as concession stands will be on site. VIP guests will have a chair reserved in the front VIP section.
This annual event dedicated to classic rock will be held on Saturday September 12, from 5:00 pm until 10:30 pm in the Chesterfield Amphitheater, at 631 Veteran’s Drive, Chesterfield. The barbeque begins at 5:00 pm. and the concert will begin at 7:45 pm. The show will go on rain or shine.
