Chesterfield to enjoy holiday cookies and stroll

The holiday season here in Chesterfield will be enhanced with cookies and a Candlelight Stroll coming in early December.

Santa will be making his first stop of the Christmas season at the St. Louis Carousel for cookies. Little ones may discuss their Christmas lists, eat cookies, and drink hot chocolate in the company of Santa Claus. Other festivities will include balloon twisting, holiday-themed crafts, face painting, and music.

Tickets for Cookies at the Carousel will be $15 per child, and will take place Saturday, December 9th from 9:30am to noon. The carousel can be found at 15189 Olive Boulevard.

Thornhill is set to hold its annual self-guided Candlelight Stroll through Frederick Bates’s Victorian home. It will be ablaze with candlelight sparkling on glass ornaments and scented with the fragrance of cinnamon and fresh greenery.

This year, some of the Christmas items available for purchase in the mansion’s gift shop have been crafted by the Faust Park volunteers and staff.

Advanced tickets are available at $8 for adults and $5 for children from the ages of 4 to 12. Adult tickets will be available at the gate for $10.

Highly decorated homes like this often have images processed at local Print shops to be used in visitor guides and other marketing materials.

Candlelight Stroll at Thornhill Historic Site at Faust Park will be Friday, December 8th and Saturday, December 9th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
