Many runners here in Chesterfield will be lacing their running shoes and heading to the 8th annual Creve Coeur St. Paddy's Half Marathon and 10k/5k in mid-March.
The route for the 13.1m, 10k, and 5k distances will go around Creve Coeur Lake.
The Half Marathon will cost $89 now and go up to $110 after this Wednesday, February 28. The 10k is $44.99 now and will go up to $70 after Wednesday, and the 5k timed and untimed registrations will be $39.99 until Wednesday and $65 thereafter. A Kids' Dash for those eight years old and younger will be free, and the untimed Kids’ Division 5k Fun Run will cost $12.99. Virtual run options are also available.
Commemorative event gear will include the runner's choice of performance fleece hoodies or T-Shirts sporting the event Logo Design. All finishers will receive shamrock sugar cookies, Pint Glasses carrying the event’s graphic design, and half-marathon runners will also get finisher medals.
Proceeds will go to the ALS Association St. Louis Regional Chapter. Last-minute packet pickup and Gear Check will begin at 7:00 am, with the Kids' Dash beginning at 8:15 am. The 10k and half marathon will get off and racing at 8:30 am, with the 5k starting at noon.
The running events will take place on Saturday, March 16 in Creve Coeur.
