Chesterfield leprechauns both large and small are gearing up for our first ever Chesterfield Shamrock 5k/10k Run. Little ones will get their own Lil’ Leprechaun Run.
The older ones can run the 3.2-mile course along and beside the Monarch Levee Trail while kids nine years old and under will be running a 0.62-mile course on the same trail. Early registrants will be guaranteed T-Shirts and kids who finish the Lil’ Leprechaun Run will get participation medals. Trophies will be awarded to the top boy and girl finishers. Top overall female and male finishers and those winning in each of the eight age groups will receive awards.
Runners are invited to stay after the run to enjoy live music and beverages.
Race packets may be picked up March 9th from 8 am until 5 pm at 17891 North Outer 40 Road at the Parks Administration Building or on race day in the F Quad parking lot near the starting line from 7:30 am until race time.
Families and friends of runners are getting some banner printing and poster printing done to have something to display showing their support as runners pass by.
The Shamrock 5k/10k and Little Leprechaun Run will be March 10th from 8:30 am until 11:00 at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex F Fields. The 5k/10k run starts at 8:30 am and the Leprechaun Run will begin at 9:30 am.
