All of us will want to mark our Calendars for the Fourth of July Celebrations that will be held again this year here in town.
The Commerce Band Kid’s Zone will open a few hours before the fireworks will begin. The highlight of the zone will be the 2-hour circus show, Circus Kaput. Audience participation will be encouraged along with the unicycling, magic, stilt walking, fire breathing, juggling, teeter boarding and aerial acts. Children can also enjoy the 15 carnival games such as frog hop, ring toss, putt-putt challenges and two bubble machines. There will be slides, bounce houses and an obstacle course.
Fat Pocket, a high energy party band, will be entertaining the crowd for two hours on the Main Stage.
Although guests can bring their own food and beverages to the venue, there will be food vendors on site. Menus will range from the usual summer fare of root beer, pizza, hot dogs and hamburgers to Mexican, Italian and Indian cuisine.
A fireworks show will be the finale of the evening. The best place to see the show will be in the west parking lot at Chesterfield Mall near Macy’s and Dillard’s. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs as no motorized vehicles will be allowed in the viewing area.
The kids’ zone will open at 6:30 pm; The Fat Pocket concert will begin at 7:30, and the Fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm at Chesterfield Mall, 291 Chesterfield Mall, Tuesday, July 4th.
