Chesterfield keeps eye on health

Two health expos around the Chesterfield area will be coming in the next few weeks, turning our attention to keeping ourselves in tip-top condition.

The first one will be the Gateway to Health 2018 Expo. This will be the first year for the event, which will be held as part of Heart Month. The American Red Cross and Gateway Health are teaming up to hold their first annual blood drive during the event.

Stackhouse will be passing out free BBQ and wine samples while music will be provided by Sky Burnt White. A total of 16 vendors have signed up so far, including Oberweiss, Elegant Restorations, Young Living, LuLa Roe, and LensCrafters Optometry.

In March, the Annual Day of Wellness will be celebrated by the screening of the ‘Un-Inflame Me’ Health Documentary. This award-winning show discusses American lifestyle and reversing the nation’s diet. Wellness-oriented businesses will have representatives discussing healthy food and beverages and passing out samples and information Flyers. Joy of Yoga will be holding meditation and yoga classes, as well as cardio dance.

Specialists featured in the film will be at the venue discussing chronic inflammation, how to reduce it naturally, disease reversal, and prevention.

The Gateway to Health 2018 Heart Health Expo will be at the Chesterfield Mall, 236 Chesterfield Center, February 12 from 1:00 until 7:00 pm.

The Screening event will be March 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis, 1100 Macklind Ave, St. Louis.
