The Gateway Jazz Festival will be here in Chesterfield later in July. The outdoor event will feature national acclaimed jazz artists and up-and-coming young artists.
This year’s lineup will include Will Downing, Boney James, Alex Bugnon, and Jonathan Butler. Cindy Bradley, Mike Silverman, and Tim Cunningham have just been added to the program.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnic lunches, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Food and drinks vendors will be there also. VIP tickets usually go quickly as many local corporations give them as Corporate Gifts.
The venue will also have a Burbs Music and Arts Festival in early August. This time, the performance will be on two stages. The AMP stage will feature bands such as Thriftworks, Subdocto, Lusid, Jade Cicada, EOTO, and Minnesota. The evening will end with a performance by Boss Mode and Friends.
The JAM stage will have two sets by Aaron Kamm & the One Drops, Surco, Guerrilla Theory, the Disco Techs, and finally Dr. Slappinstein. Light Lab will be in charge of the LED visuals and panels.
Food trucks and vendors will also be onsite for this festival.
The Gateway Jazz Festival will be at the Chesterfield Amphitheater at 631 Veterans Place Drive starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 21. Gates open at 1:00 pm.
Burbs Music & Arts Festival will be August 4 from 1:00 until 11:00 pm at the same venue.
