Mardi Gras will be celebrated all February in St. Louis’s Soulard Market Park.
The Bacchanalian Ball will kick off the month on February 1. The Bud Light Party Centre will be turned into all the glamor and glitz of Mardi Gras depicting the evening’s theme of “Hollywood Nights.” This gala will begin at 7:00 pm and wind down around 11:00 pm.
On February 8, the center will host a Cajun Cook-Off as ten teams of amateur cooks will be facing off. Christina Fitzgerald and Mike Johnson, two of the best Cajun cooks in St. Louis according to the event organizers, will be giving Cajun cooking demonstrations. The dishes will be authentic Creole cuisine and the audience will get free samples afterward. The $55 admission tickets will include Cajun lunch and drinks provided by Sugarfire Smokehouse.
A week later, on February 15, there will be the Missouri Lottery 5K Run for Your Beads, and on February 16, Chesterfield pet owners can bring their beloved animals to the Tito’s Wiener Dog Derby and Purina Pet Parade.
The Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball will be on February 21, and activities on February 22 will end the Mardi Gras experience. They will include the Bud Light Grand Parade, the Party Tent, and the Blues Alumni Experience.
The Corporate Village VIP Experience will include good views of the parade, a Creole/Cajun lunch buffet, and beads in a climate-controlled tent. Businesses can rent these tents and give tickets to employees as Corporate Gifts.
