Chesterfield goes to airshow and expo

The Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo is scheduled for early September.

The highlight will be the British Royal Air Force Red Arrows jet team joining forces with the Navy Blue Angels for two scheduled demonstrations.

Other sky performances will be by the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor stealth fighter, Pitts biplane, and Aeroshell Aerobatic Team of T-6 Texans.

Static display aircraft will be on the ground. Some of these will be the Boeing-f-15C Eagle, RAF Red Arrows, Supermarine Spitfire, F-16 Fighting Falcon Red Tail, Canadian Armed Forces BAE CT-155 Hawk, the Texas Raiders, Boeing B-170 Flying Fortress, and Sky Soldiers.

Running concurrently will be the STEM Expo, where businesses, colleges and schools will be showcasing their latest aviation advances. They will host experiences in science technology engineering and math (STEM) for young people.

When businesses come to events such as this they usually bring Business Cards and Promotional Products to enhance their advertising campaigns.

Rise Above, part of the Red Tail CAF Red Tail Squadron’s outreach program, will commemorate the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Tickets can only be purchased online at the event’s website. Although the Flight Line Club and Club Bravo tickets are already sold out, there are $25 General Admission tickets available.

The airshow and expo will be September 7th and 8th from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The drop off and pickup point address will be at 1842 Old Olive Street Road.
