The Stars and Stripes fun run, a classic 4th of July tradition Chesterfield, will be returning this year.
Early bird tickets for the 5k and 10k are $25 until June 11th, $30 from June 12th to July 3rd, and $40 on Race Day. The Fun Run fees are $15.
Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design will be guaranteed to those signing up before June 15th.
Awards will be given to top female and male finishers, and to first place winners in each of eight age categories in both the 5k and 10k races. All Fun Runners will get participation medals.
Race packets will be available at Dick’s Sporting Good, 64 THF Boulevard from Monday, July 3 onwards, from 10:30am unitl 6:30pm.
Both the 5k and the 10k events will begin at 8:30am, with the Kids Fun Run beginning a couple of hours later at 10:30am.
Families participating in events such as this often take pictures of their group in running gear to share around. These pictures can then go to a nearby Print shop to be added to family newsletters, or the July picture for yearly custom-made Calendars.
