Those who have made St. Charles Christmas Traditions a seasonal favorite event will want to make room on their Calendars for a visit sometime between now and Christmas Eve.
The aroma of chestnuts will waft through the air as vendors will be selling the holiday snacks.
On weekends, the church on Main Street will be featuring the winners of the gingerbread contest as part of its Gingerbread Village. Couples can stop by the Kister Park Gazebo and take advantage of the holiday kissing ball. The ball is a giant ball of ribbon, holly, mistletoe and evergreen. Chesterfield kids can visit Santa at his cottage in the KATY Depot and get their pictures taken.
Sundays with Santa at the Foundry Art Centre will be a festive Yuletide extravaganza as families take a trip through a winter wonderland meeting characters such as Tiny Tim, Jack Frost, and the Sugar Plum Fairy, and listening to Christmas music as they go to meet Santa.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons there will be a Santa Parade with carolers, Christmas characters, and a cavalcade of international Santas bearing flags of their homelands.
Other activities include live concerts, dance parties, ice block parties, elf games, Saint Nicholas and Santa Lucia Days, and a Santa Sendoff.
Christmas Traditions is on now through Christmas Eve afternoon in St. Charles. Times and locations of activities can be found on the event website.
