Chesterfield will be getting outdoors with two cycling events and a triathlon in July.
This Wednesday, June 11, many local cyclists will be riding the SBR Evening Porkchop Gavel Drop Ride 2025. The group will meet in the front of SBR Bikes & Brews' On the Ball Sports at 17017 N Outer 40 Road, with the ride scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
The 25-mile Porkchop loop will be run clockwise. Everyone will ride together on the levee. When the group reaches the Katy Trail, it will break into the three groups. The front group will be going about 20 mph, the B group will average about 17 mph, and the smaller and slower groups will bring up the rear. After the race, riders are invited to enjoy food and beverages.
SBR will also be holding a similar ride for its 4th of July group ride. Teams that participate in rides on Independence Day often wear red, white, and blue T-Shirts printed at local Print shops.
