Our local Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 31st Annual Tuesday Summer Concert Series beginning in early June. In total, 10 free concerts are scheduled.
June will see four bands starting with the Bob Kuban Band playing soul. Butch Wax and The Hollywoods belting out oldies, 60s and 70s tunes, and Motown will be the following week; a dance band Trilogy comes next; and Spectrum, a party band, will round out the lineup for the month.
July concert goers will see Volcanic Ash playing classic rock, The Scott Laytham & Karl Holmes Duo singing covers, Abbey Road Warriors with Beatle favorites, and Everyday People performing funk.
The last two events will be in August and they will be Fanfare with music ranging from Big Band, jazz, and country, to disco, classic rock, pop and R&B; and Billy Peek, a rock guitarist known for his Chuck Berry numbers.
Fans of these groups will want to check their favorite artists’ websites to purchase Promotional Products such as Drinkware, T-Shirts and other memorabilia. The venue will also have concessions and food trucks.
This year’s Summer Concert Series will take place in Faust Park, 15185 Olive Blvd, every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The opening performance will start June 5 and the last one will be August 14.
