Those here in Chesterfield can enjoy The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House colorful Morpho Mardi Gras: Bugs, Rhythm, & Blues and the Jack C. Taylor Center's Orchid Show in the early part of 2025.
The Morpho Mardi Gras: Bugs, Rhythm, & Blues will be a family-friendly event in the Tropical Conservatory. The room will be filled with around 1500 blue morpho butterflies, and guests may learn about how these vibrant-colored insects' behavior is similar to blues music. Everyone will be invited to make Mardi Gras masquerade masks.
The event will be included with standard admission to the Butterfly House.
Morpho Madi Gras: Bugs, Rhythm, & Blues will take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on January 25th through March 4th, 2025. The Butterfly House is located at 15050 Faust Park.
The Emerson Conservatory at the Jack C. Taylor Center in the Missouri Botanical Garden will feature this year's Orchid Show. Over 700 kinds of orchids will be on display with 5000 individual plants, one in ten of these are either endangered or threatened.
Guests may also view new permanent living collections including species from California, Western Australia, South Africa, Chile and the Mediterranean.

The Missouri Botanical Garden's annual Orchid Show will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, February 1st to March 9th at 4344 Show Boulevard, St. Louis.
