Chesterfield Amphitheater offers summer programs

The Chesterfield Amphitheater will have a full lineup of entertainment this summer.

Sounds of Summer will feature a free Van Morrison Celebration which will be presented by Tupelo Honey on June 13th.

Chesterfield Amphitheater will again present Dark Star Orchestra, a seven member band recreating Grateful Dead concerts.

The band’s set lists are created from past Dead’s songs and set lists of its 30 years of touring. The guys also play their own improvisations of these songs within the sound and style of each era.

The Dark Star Orchestra will perform Friday, June 26th with the curtain going up at 6:00 pm. This will be a ticketed event.

Another free June concert will be A Bob Seger tribute by Silver Bullet STL on Saturday, June 27th.

July’s line up will include a free tribute to Foreigner band Headknocker on the 11th, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on the 18th (tickets range from $35 to $99), Jamey Johnson on the 23rd (paid tickets required) and Don McLean on the 25th (tickets from $30 to $125).

Audiences will hear Bruce Springsteen’s music from Saints in the City on August 8th. This will be a free event.

Fans of these iconic bands may still have their promotional products some sporting the groups’ original graphic design.

Free Movies Under the Stars will be shown during Wednesdays in June. They will be Toy Story 4, Dolittle, Wonder Park and Lion King.
