The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will once again be hosting the annual Pumpkin Flats Pumpkin Run/Walk later this month.
The adult and child races will be held to promote community and fitness and, as always, there will be prizes for the winners.
There will be two adult run/walks, a 5K and 10K, and a single half-mile run/walk for children under 10, for which costumes are encouraged. Everyone who participates by registering will receive a T-shirt on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Different shirts will be given to the children.
All of the children who participate will receive a complimentary award; awards for adults will be given to first, second, and third place finishers, along with additional awards for age category winners. The day should provide opportunities for taking photos of family and friends, which some may wish to use for later poster printing.
Teams are also encouraged to sign up, those with five or more members will qualify for a discount on the registration fee. Also, there are still sponsorships available, and those interested may call the Chamber office.
The run/walk event will be held Saturday, October 25, at the Chesterfield Town Center at the corner of Edison Avenue and Long Road. Registration Forms can be downloaded from the Chamber’s website, where fees range from $10 to $30.Get a Free Quote for Forms
