Amphitheater to hold benefit concert

St. Lois-based charity Backstoppers is inviting Chesterfield locals to its Second Annual Backstoppalooza—part of its Backstoppers Benefit Concert 2014 series.

Entertainment for the evening will begin with The Dog’s Breakfast, a band formed earlier this year that plays St. Louis Blues and rock covers. This will be followed by Silver Bullet Stl, which is a Bob Seger Tribute band. Up last will be Big Love with their takes on Fleetwood Mac numbers

Backstoppers is an organization established to provide financial and emotional support to families of public safety workers that have died while pursuing their duties. Last year’s benefit concert netted $29,000 for the organization and like last year, all of this year’s proceeds (including those from tickets, T-Shirts, food, and beverage sales) will go straight to Backstoppers.

The event is being sponsored by the City of Chesterfield, St. Luke’s Hospital, and other organizations, and it will be presented by the Chesterfield Police, City of Chesterfield Parks and Recreation, the Rotary Club of West St. Louis County, and Monarch Fire and Ems. This festival should provide an opportunity for those who wish to have banner printing carried out in support of the cause.

A $10 donation is suggested for each ticket, while kids aged 12 and under will get in free. The concert will be presented October 4, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the Chesterfield Amphitheater
