Chesterfield locals can get ready for a day of celebrating an Earth-healthy lifestyle and enjoying an evening of outdoor jazz.
The Eco Music Festival will be held at the end of this month, featuring the jazz fusion band, Spyro Gyra, renowned saxophonist Mindi Abair, and other acts. Non-profit Plan it Green, Inc. will receive a percentage of the profits.
Eco-minded presentations and activities that emphasize sustainable practices will be offered, featuring an eco-educational green vendor village. Different presenters will offer solutions and recommendations for keeping the earth green. Local restaurants will also be selling food and drinks with an eco-aware theme. Green-fingered folk may want to have flyer printing done to promote the event – disposing of any unused Flyers responsibly, of course.
Entertainment for the evening will feature multi-Grammy nominated Spyro Gyra. The band is celebrating its 40th year together, during which time it has released 30 albums, two of which have gone gold and one that went platinum.
Another featured performer, Mindi Abair, has just released a new album ‘Wild Heart’ that debuted at number 1 and stayed there for two weeks on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz and Billboard Jazz charts. Opening acts will include St. Louis native Tim Cunningham and Bach to the Future.
This festival will run from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm on August 30 in and around the Chesterfield Amphitheatre, 631 Veteran’s Place Drive, Chesterfield.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
