Plymouth gardeners will soon be springing into action for another horticulture season, and those who attend an upcoming activity will learn how to offer pollinators a helping hand.
The Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex (PARC) will be providing space for the first Plymouth Pollinators meeting for 2023. All community members are encouraged to participate, and a special guest speaker will address the group.
Michiganense Natives’ Adam Huttenstine will be sharing his expertise during the session, and he will discuss how he first got the business off the ground and also how it has grown to be a popular source for native plants. He will offer tips for selecting and growing these species, and one of the perks of being part of the activity is that the audience will be treated to a sneak peek preview of what will be on sale during the company’s June market.
Along with the presentation, the function will provide a review of spring clean-up chores for the garden, and everyone will be able to learn more about the group and its work. Membership applications and other documents for a not-for-profit group can be prepared by area Stationery printers.
This chance for Plymouth to spring into action when it comes to protecting pollinators will be offered on Thursday, May 4. Everyone is asked to arrive by no later than 6:30 pm.
