Plymouth area invited to craft with glass and concrete

Stained glass has been used for centuries to add a decorative touch to buildings, among other purposes. Attendees who register for a Plymouth area class will be working with this material and crafting a project they can keep.

The Straight Farmhouse Museum has made time in its schedule for a stained glass and concrete stepping stone class, and it will teach how to work with these two materials to create a keepsake for the garden. Each registrant will be preparing two projects, and there is an option available for anyone who would like to add on a solar light.

The facilitator will teach how to prepare the stones, and as they will be made by hand, each will be unique. There will be designs provided, but the students will also be invited to create their own if they wish. Each stone will be eight inches in diameter.

Creating a functional work of art can also be enjoyable, giving members of the public the chance to flex their creative muscles. A flyer printing company will be happy to help keep a community informed about upcoming events of this nature.

This introduction to the art of working with glass and concrete is scheduled to get started at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 24, taking place at 6121 Merriman Road.
