Workshop to help Lansing families with house projects

This upcoming January, Megan Dowell of Do-Well Remodel will hold the Knowing Your Home: Painting and Caulking Workshop to help families with home improvement projects.

Do-Well Remodel is a husband-and-wife team that heads a remodeling company solely focused on helping local families remodel their homes. The company's services include flooring, painting, dry-walling, and basement remodels. It also hosts special events and how-to classes for the public, such as January’s Knowing Your Home workshop.

The class will introduce participants to the basics of painting and caulking their own home. Licensed contractors Megan and William will be present to guide attendees through how to remove existing caulk and apply new caulk to their homes. Various painting techniques will also be demonstrated. Organizers will provide all class materials so that students can participate in the processes themselves. Smitten Mitten Bakery will generously provide attendees with treats and drinks after the class has finished.

Participants of how-to workshops will often receive printed learning materials to help guide them through the different topics. These materials may include Brochures and pamphlets, which can be printed at specialized shops offering brochure printing services.

The workshop is scheduled for January 13 from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. It will take place at Tinkr 2.0, which is located at 2650 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. Tickets are $25.
