Wing festival planned for Labor Day weekend

To kick off the Labor Day weekend, Lansing will host the 2021 Michigan Chicken Wing Festival as way to provide a fun outing and benefit charity.

The two-day festival will feature a wing-eating contest, a kids’ fun zone, and craft vendors for attendees to visit. Local food trucks will be present, including wing vendors offering 21 varieties of flavors. A select group of wing vendors will be also offering a limited number of wing sample tickets for advance purchase. Guests who avoid meat will be able to partake in the new vegan food station.

The event will also have a wine, spirits, and beer tent set up for those 21 and older. Other entertainment includes various giveaways of Promotional Products for guests to win, as well as live musical performances to listen to.

Proceeds from the wing festival will benefit the Against All Odds Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors meet their most immediate needs, such as groceries, clothing, phone bills, and treatment transportation. The foundation also participates in patient advocacy for all cancer survivors, regardless of cancer type.

The 2021 Michigan Chicken Wing Festival is scheduled for September 4 and 5, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It will take place at Adado Riverfront Park on 300 North Grand Avenue. Tickets range from $5 to $55, depending on the level ticket purchased.
