Horror fans with a hunger for brains should note that the 13th Annual Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk will take place this October.
Organized by Robot Pumpkin, the Zombie Walk is a playful, family-friendly Halloween activity that takes over the streets of downtown Lansing. Zombie fans of all ages will revel in the opportunity to don their most undead makeup and zombie-tastic costumes. The walking dead will descend upon Lansing, becoming a horde of shuffling brain-eaters as they make their way from the Impression 5 Science Center to the Capitol. Photographers will be present to capture the ghoulishness.
Benefiting a charitable cause, zombie attendees will also be asked to bring food donations to be given to the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Those who donate will have their names entered into a raffle to win a prize basket worth $100. There will also be a Best Zombie Contest featuring prizes worth $200. Attendees will be able to purchase official T-Shirts with the event Logo Design on them at the event as well.
The zombie walk will shuffle into town on Saturday, October 7 beginning at 4:00 pm. The registration site and meeting location will be the Impression 5 Science Center, located at 200 Museum Drive. Advanced Z-Walk passes are $5, and day-of passes are $10. Children ages four and under can participate for free.
