Lansing to get a second TJ Maxx
Savvy Lansing shoppers will soon have a popular store in which to browse for fashionable clothes.
TJ Maxx is set to open its second Lansing location this year, with the clothing store set to be in place in the fall. The next closest TJ Maxx is in the Crossings Mall in Jackson, nearly 40 miles away.
The chain, which is based in Massachusetts, already has a store in the Lansing Mall. The new site is in the Frandor Shopping Center, where construction has already begun on a store that comprises 22,500 square feet. The store will take over the old Gift & Bible location, which is situated between Michael's and Petco.
Christopher Brochert, a partner at Lormax Stern, the company that developed the center, says that Lormax has been trying for a long time to bring a fashion-forward retailer to the Frandor mall. He describes TJ Maxx as “one of the best” retailers in the nation, and is very pleased that the retailer is joining the lineup of stores at the center.
Since this is a new location, TJ Maxx management might consider working with stationery printers to create new letterhead that has the correct information on it. The store could also work with a business card printing company to create attractive, up-to-date digital cards for store personnel.
