Lansing running event to celebrate mans best friend

In August, Lansing via Moon Joggers will host the 5th Annual Day of the Dog virtual run in honor of International Dog Day, which is August 26.

Moon Joggers is an event organizer that hosts virtual runs for various causes. The Day of the Dog event will be a virtual run that allows Lansing residents to spend most of August either walking or running various distances from a single mile to an entire marathon. Participants are welcome to complete their run at their own pace, and even run with their dog if they wish.

After signing up, registrants will receive their running kit in the mail, which will include a running bib, completion medal, and matching dog tag. A 20% share of all registration fees will go towards Freedom Service Dogs, which is a non-profit organization that rescues dogs and trains them to become service dogs for those who require support, including people with post-traumatic stress disorder, spinal cord injuries, and autism.

Running events like this often advertise using Flyers, which makes Print shops specializing in flyer printing a useful option for organizers looking for help creating them.

The 5th Annual Day of the Dog is scheduled to last throughout the month of August, with special emphasis placed on International Dog Day (August 26). The registration fee is now $22.
