The 6th Annual Smooth Jazz Fete will be held in Lansing this August and will showcase some of the best national and international jazz musicians.
The Phil Denny's Armory Smooth Jazz Fete, as the name implies, will be presented by Phil Denny, an internationally renowned jazz artist based in Lansing. Phil Denny has reached the Billboards twice as the number one saxophonist, and he will lend his talents to the festival as part of the performer lineup. This lineup will bring together cross-genre jazz musicians who also are both nationally and internationally recognized for their musical talents. The lineup will feature Michael Fields, Jr., Dominique Hammons, Phil Denny and Isis Damil, and Nathan Mitchell.
Besides soulful musical performances, the festival will also have a variety of entertainment and activities for attendees. There will be local artists displaying their works, merchandise booths of the jazz musicians, food trucks, and beer and wine booths. Due to the presence of alcohol, the event will be restricted to those guests who are 21 and up.
