Ignition Maker Fest will be held in Lansing this May to offer the area a chance to experience a mega science fair blended with an artisan marketplace with something for everyone to enjoy.
Organized by Impression 5 Science Center, Robot Pumpkin, and Waverly Robotics, this science-focused festival is designed to spark the imagination and ingenuity of all those that attend. The fest will take place outdoors and will offer a variety of activities and events spanning both the creative arts and the sciences.
The science fair portion will feature various robotics teams, such as Mason Robotics, Waverly Robotics, and ZZ the Robot, as well as all manner of tinkerers, tech enthusiasts, and geeky hobbyists. Student-led robotics teams will have a showcase of competitive robotics to admire and learn from. The creative marketplace will feature authors, crafters, artists, bakers, and retailers showcasing their wares. DJs will present music and announcements throughout the day.

The Ignition Maker Fest will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will be held at the Riverside Parking Lot outside Impression 5 Science Center, which is located at 200 Museum Drive. There is no admission fee to attend the outside event.
