Lansing festival to celebrate richness of Hispanic culture

Ourspace Foundation will host its annual 517 Hispanic Heritage Weekend festival in downtown Lansing this September to showcase the rich cultural traditions and heritage of the Hispanic community.

Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized and celebrated every year, beginning September 15 and lasting to October 15. The month provides an opportunity to highlight the cultural heritage and traditions of people from places such as Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Spain. The weekend-long festival in Lansing will celebrate both the culture and the contributions that Hispanic people have made in the community.

The first and second days of event will feature the Health and Wellness Seminar and Hispanic Heritage Dance Class & Mixer, which will teach attendees dances like salsa and bachata. The third day will feature the main festival events, with musical performances ranging from Cuban jazz and Tejano to folkloric dance. There will be numerous food vendors to try, as well as luchador wrestling and a Kids Zone. The last day will close everything out with the Hispanic Heritage Latin Jazz Night.

People may learn of cultural festivals like this by receiving Flyers distributed by event organizers. Organizers may seek out local flyer printing services to prepare such advertising materials.

The Hispanic Heritage Weekend will be held from September 19 through September 22. It will take place at 214 South Washington Square.
