Lansing will be one of the nine cities holding the 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Course next month, offered both online and in person.
An industry leader in occupational health and safety, Compliance Solutions Occupational Trainers, Inc., will be hosting the course. This is the country’s largest private provider of environmental and hazmat training courses.
January’s course will be specifically for professionals who have completed their initial 24-hour 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
The seminars meet the OSHA’s recommended training curriculum, meeting OSHA’s mandated training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.120. Students attending the class will learn about changes in related regulations, complete a mock dress-out, participate in multiple class safety activities, and receive instruction in health and safety procedures. Upon completion of course, students will understand changes in HAZWOPER/related regulations in the past year, identify safe methods and work practices, recognize Signs and labels used to alert personnel of dangers involving hazardous materials, and describe the effects of hazardous materials on people and the environment.
Continuing education workshops like this sometimes utilize local Stationery printers to create appropriate training materials to share in class.
The 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Course is scheduled for January 21 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The in-person class is located at 3121 East Grand River Avenue. The online class can be found be visiting Compliance Solutions’ website. Tickets run from $174 to $195.
