Trawick Prize comes to Bethesda
The Trawick Prize is set to be held in Bethesda as the Contemporary Art Awards returns to the region.
The event was founded by Carol Trawick in 2003 as a juried art exhibition and competition, and is now produced by the Bethesda Arts and Entertainment District. Artists from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. are honored.
The competition awards prize money of $14,000 in total, with the “Best in Show” winner receiving $10,000. The second-place winner will receive $2,000, with third place coming in at $1,000. A special category is the young artist level for any participant under the age of 30 with a $1,000 prize award. Exhibitors may fill out an application via the website.
The 2020 winners have been announced and include Daniel Wickerham and Malcolm Lomax receiving the Trawick Prize Best in Show awards. Erick Benitz placed second, Nara Park came third and the Young Artist Award went to Bria Sterling-Wilson.
Brochures are often designed to promote cultural and art events. The brochure printing typically includes images, content, graphics, sponsor recognition, and contact information. A website with more details and ticket purchase options is often included. Local printing services can assist with brochure projects.
The Trawick Prize Contemporary Art Awards will be held from tomorrow, September 9 through October 3 at Gallery B, 7700 Wisconsin. More details are available on the Bethesda Urban Partnership website.
