The Sahara Dance Summer Caravan is coming to Bethesda this August.
Sahara Dance is a dance studio that offers in-person and online classes, teaching different styles of belly dance and Middle Eastern folk dance, both traditional and experimental, to people of all ages and experience levels. The Summer Caravan show celebrates artistry and cultural traditions with performances by nearly 100 students from Sahara Dance beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes, as well as additional performances by their teachers and Tabla drummers.
This year, the show will also feature a full performance by special guest Marta Korzun, internationally acclaimed belly dancer and coach, who is the current Artist in Residence at Sahara Dance.
Attendees will receive a free pass to an Introduction to Belly Dance Workshop, which is included with the show’s program, and a free raffle ticket, which will provide them with the chance to win a prize at intermission.
Events like this often rely on flyer printing from local shops in order to advertise to the surrounding community.
The Sahara Dance Summer Caravan is set to have two performances in Bethesda on Sunday, August 23 at the Imagination Stage. One will be at 3:00 pm and the other is at 6:00 pm. Tickets are available for purchase on Sahara Dance’s website. They are priced at $35 for adults and $20 for children under 12.
