What's Happening in Bethesda, MD…

Toastmasters serves Bethesda region

The Friendship Heights Toastmasters Club will present a workshop in Chevy Chase, just a short distance from Bethesda, on a regular basis through the summer months.

The event welcomes anyone interested in improving their public speaking skills. The workshop affords the opportunity to practice in a comfortable setting for upcoming presentations, or for general speaking purposes.

The club touts the fact it does not put any pressure on guests. Participation begins when they are comfortable and ready to stand in front of the group. Feedback is given to participants in a non-threatening, non-judgmental manner. The goal is to give tips and best practices for creating strong skills and confidence in speaking in public.

Often, young professionals seek the opportunity to engage with others while developing leadership skills. The Toastmasters events incorporate training in this area into the program, making it useful and accessible to a full range of attendees with varying goals.

Poster printing is frequently ordered from local print shops to feature highlights for public training and development events. The posters can be printed in full color with compelling content.

Friendship Heights Toastmasters Club meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 4:30 to 5:15 pm, so the next one will be this coming Wednesday, May 12. The workshops are held at the Geico Corporate Office located at 5260 Western Avenue. Attendance is free.
