Row Arts Festival coming to Bethesda
A leading craft and fine arts festival is on the way to Bethesda, as the Row Arts Festival gets ready to open.
The Row Arts Festival transforms the city’s streets into an art gallery, where 190 artists will present their works. The festival is juried, meaning artists’ works have been seen by a panel of experts before they are chosen to be in the show. Visitors will find art in a huge variety of categories including wood, watercolor, oil painting, mixed media 3D, jewelry, glass, fiber, decorative art, and ceramics. The artworks, which are originals, are priced from $45 to $20,000. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to help describe the art.
In addition to the wonderful works of art, over 50 restaurants are participating in the event, and there will be live music on the outdoor stage at Woodmont Avenue and Elm Street. Local musicians appearing include Bourbon Moon, The 19th Street Band, and Wytold.
The Row Arts Festival is a fundraiser for NIH Children’s Charities, an umbrella organization that includes Friends of the Clinical Center, Camp Fantastic/Special Love, Inc., and The Children’s Inn, all of which provide support to children facing medical issues and their families.
The fair is scheduled for 11:00 am until 6:00 pm tomorrow, October 13, and 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on October 14.
