What's Happening in Bethesda, MD…

Popular Bethesda event returns

One of the most popular, and delicious, events in the Washington, D.C. area is returning to Bethesda.

The Taste of Bethesda spreads down Norfolk Avenue, which is in the Woodmont Triangle area. This is the 33rd year for the event, which will feature food from some of the best restaurants in the city, live entertainment on four stages, children’s activities, and more.

There are over 40 restaurants taking part, offering everything from ethnic choices to sweets to BBQ. The restaurants will not have a full menu but are bringing some of their best dishes. Among the participants are the Kadhai Boutique Indian Cuisine, Pisco y Nazca, and Pho Viet.

Live entertainment will appear on four stages. Elikeh and Kentucky Avenue will perform on the Cordell Stage, while Patrick Alban & His Buena Vista Social and Honest Lee Soul will be on the Norfolk Stage. The St. Elmo Stage will host Cecily, and Melissa Quinn Fox, with Sara Jones and Tepua Hio Hio entertaining at Veterans Park.

Although admission to the main event is free, tickets for tastings are available on site. They are sold in bundles of four for $5, and each serving costs between one and four tickets.

The Taste of Bethesda will run from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, and tickets for tastings will be available until 3.30 pm. Events like this are the perfect places for organizers to put up decorations made by using banner printing.
