Home furnishing store to open in Bethesda
A popular home-furnishing retailer plans to open soon in Bethesda.
West Elm, which is based in Brooklyn, will open a new location in the Pike & Rose development in North Bethesda. West Elm specializes in modern décor for the home.
The new store will cover 11,572 square feet, and feature West Elm's classic designs, as well as the items it is showcasing for the upcoming holiday season. The store has a Design Crew in-house, with whom customers can visit to discuss new styles, discuss furniture arrangements, schedule installations, and more. Banner printing can be used to create decorations for special occasions like this.
This is the fourth West Elm location in or near Washington, D.C. Speaking for West Elm, Andrés (Dru) Ortega said the company was opening locations to make it more convenient for customers to visit West Elm in person, examine their products, and talk to the in-store consultants. He added that the urban development at Pike & Rose falls in line with West Elm's commitment to community development that places an emphasis on conscientious living.
The opening is set for this Thursday, October 3, at 951 Rose Avenue, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and the store plans to serve food and specialty cocktails, all from local vendors. West Elm will donate some of the proceeds from the opening to A Wider Circle.
