What's Happening in Bethesda, MD…

Fun festival awaits in Bethesda

A fun and colorful event will take place soon in Bethesda.

The Bethesda Fine Arts Festival 2023 will feature the works of artisans who work with wood, sculpt, make prints, take photos, paint, make jewelry, work with glass, build furniture, create clothing, are experts in ceramics, and work with mixed media. As an example, David Levy laminates a variety of hardwoods to create such goods as kitchenware and desk accessories.

If the artists and their creative products are not enough, live entertainment is also planned. The first day will bring performances by the Sara Jones Duo, The Walkaways, Carley Harvey, and Wes Tucker & the Skillets, while bands on the second day are Jay Byrd and The Musical Trust, Eric Scott, and Jarreau Williams as the final act. Each band will perform for two hours. When events with this many participants are planned, organizers can use flyer printing to create handouts for attendees, including a list of vendors and bands, and a schedule.

The Bethesda Fine Arts Festival is set for May 13 and 14, and will bring together 130 of the top artists in the world, as well as the entertainers listed. Restaurants in Bethesda will be participating as well. The festival will take place in the Woodmont Triangle area of the city, along Del Ray, Auburn, and Norfolk Avenues. Admission is free, and so is parking, which is available in a public garage on Auburn Avenue. The festival will go ahead rain or shine.
