Cybersecurity experts to meet in Bethesda
Experts in cybersecurity will meet in Bethesda soon to discuss issues within their industry.
The CyperScape Summit brings together thought leaders from the security industry and federal officials to explore the most important topics currently under discussion in cybersecurity. They will discuss priorities and how to meet and get ahead of challenges, as well as security of critical infrastructure, data security, and management of zero-trust security systems.
The day begins with networking breakfast, followed by opening remarks and then the opening discussion about “Securing the Nation.” An industry perspective is next, followed by a talk on the future of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the government. The discussion notes that while AI is becoming increasingly integrated into government operations to increase efficiency, this gives bad actors a chance to exploit AI to create new threats. Officials will discuss how to modernize encryption and intrusion detection measures to ensure AI is secure while maximizing the benefits it brings.
There will be a networking break, followed by sessions on how to protect critical infrastructure. A series of lightning rounds will follow, allowing people to present “Snapshots in Cybersecurity.” Lunch follows, then the Flywheel Awards will be presented, and the day ends with a talk on how to strengthen data security.
