Bethesda mixed-use center welcomes new arrivals
At Lot 31 on Bethesda Row, a development that mixes restaurants and retailers, new stores and restaurants are getting ready to join the existing tenants.
According to Doug Firstenberg, who is the founding principal of StonebridgeCarras (Lot 31's developer), it has always been StonebridgeCarras's intent to provide an interesting array of shops and eateries to enhance the quality of the neighborhood. The new arrivals to Lot 31 are set to include the Chop't Creative Salad Company, PassionFish, Silver Diner, Paul Bakery, Pottery Barn, and Pottery Barn Kids. The latter two enterprises will go into a space that comprises 17,900 square feet.
Silver Diner has locations throughout Virginia and Maryland, and one restaurant in New Jersey. There is also a Rockville location, which was opened in 2010. These outlets are all designed to resemble a traditional diner, with unique architecture and traditional food. The Lot 31 diner, however, will be a departure from the typical footprint, since it will be urbanized, rather than suburban.
PassionFish, which offers a seafood menu including crudo and sushi, will open in a ground floor site in The Darcy; a luxury condo project. The new stores and restaurants should open next year.
StonebridgeCarras could work with brochure printers to create a mailer for commercial realtors, who could present it to their clients.
