Bethesda book launch to explore African history
This weekend, an evening of African culture, cuisine, and live entertainment will take place in Bethesda as part of a book launch.
Nana Aba is the author of Stolen Heritage - Blood and Stones. The book takes readers through the lost heritage of African culture and existence, with stories that convey courage and resiliency, resulting in empowerment.
Aba will be at the event affording attendees the opportunity to meet her. She is a Ghanaian poet, blogger, and writer, as well as being a navy veteran. Attendees will have access to an early release in hardcopy format that is signed by Aba.
The goal of the author is to inspire, create hope, be a mentor, and offer coaching to young adults throughout the world. A portion of the proceeds from the gala will be donated to The Black Girl Social Club. The entity advocates for social welfare and has over 75 chapters in major cities.
Posters are often used to highlight special features of an event like this. Poster printing can include graphics, images, and content, and printed items can be placed strategically at the event to attract attention.
The gala will take place this Saturday, November 20, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Women’s Club of Bethesda. Tickets may be purchased via Eventbrite and are priced at $75, with sales ending on Friday.
